When I bought mine home from a reputable breeder he went into seizures. After talking with the doc (after the 2nd ER visit) turned out that he was too small to be sold and lectured me on the terms Teacup, Minis and what not. I had to do 2 hr feedings around the clock for 3 weeks, took my pup with me to work and kept his kennel warm at a constant 80 degrees in the winter due to his body temp dropping and going into seizures (apparently too small to have any fat to provide internal warmth). Fortunately he grew to a healthy 4lbs and is active and playful. Just very painful to watch his episodes when I was not aware of small chihuahua health issues. He came from healthy parents-he was just too too small. If ANYONE wants a small sized chi PLEASE read up first just in case.
