dear famous chihuahua®,
this wonderful chihuahua mother is maya. she is 4 years old and weighs 4.5 lbs. she has had one chihuahua puppy as you see in the picture above and she was a very good mother that never left her baby’s side, but today she is my baby and never leaves my side.
we live in the busy down town core of vancouver, canada where little maya barks at all dogs she sees no matter what size they are. she even barks at passing cyclists! her favorite toy is her little mini pet tennis ball and she loves to have her belly rubbed. as soon as i stop rubbing it, she is quick to remind me to keep doing it by scratching my hand with her paws.
maya is a big part of my life and makes me very happy. i got her from a private chihuahua breeder and and i am very grateful she is a healthy dog. she is a little sunshine in my life with a curly tail that brings a smile to my face every day.

Hello, my name is Melanie. I see that your beautiful chihuahua was able to have a puppy. I was just wondering….what kind of things I should be doing if I want to breed? or what kind of things to expect… I have 2 chihuahuas puddles & sandy.

I also have a female chihuahua that is 5lbs and was advised that she is too small to have puppies; that it could kill her. Make sure you speak with a vet before allowing your special girl to get pregnant. My little Sophie is being spayed on Thursday.

Maya could not give birth to her puppy because of her size , she had a c-section,
so check with your vet.
And she had only one puppy.
