millie is an adorable 8 year old apple head chihuahua that’s the poster pet for the mbjungle foundation, a charity that represents an awareness for pets and their companions with birth defects and mental illness. Millie has eye proptosis, (a condition resulting in forward displacement and entrapment of the eye from behind by the eyelids).
as a puppy, millie’s eye popped out of it’s socket and she had to have emergency surgery. she was such a trooper and was so brave throughout the entire surgery and recovery period.
Millie is a kind, gentle, endearing, engaging and most of all, loving chihuahua – all traits that epitomize what the the mbjungle foundation is all about. she is also a sun goddess, so choosing a home to live in took much consideration as the sun’s warm rays needed to come in through both the windows and doors.
millie’s nickname is squirt. she spent the first three years of her life in sunny atlanta, georgia, then moved with her daddy david rogers to rochester, new york, where she endures the cold winters and wears chihuahua clothes that she doesn’t always care for, but is necessary as she’s only 3.5 lbs and needs to stay warm!
after millie’s eye proptosis surgery, she adopted her baby ho ho Christmas blanket that you see above. to this day, she lives and breaths in it. isn’t she just adorable!
