I have a beautiful gray and chocolate Chihuahua with medium long silky hair can anyone give me more information about this breed. none of the other puppies from this family of puppies, which is many generations, had looked like this, his eyes are also grey as grey as his coat. I have 3 chi’s 1 yrs old ramsey and 9 month old coca and finally our newest addition was lucky she is 9 weeks old and she is a blue chi. I love all 3 of my chi’s. they are my everything. but I have a problem with ramsey he licks too much and coca sheds a lot she is short coat and lucky is only 9 weeks old and she has a had a runny nose since I got her. she that normal where is sneezes a lot? or should I take her to a vet? or how about other the other two? please help me thank you

i have a blue female chihuahua who started losing hair on her head at 6 weeks as soon as we got her we have taken antibitics cause it may have been staff infection but now is a year old and has no hair on the ears head and falls out in spots on her back regularyl and the vet said that blues can have baldness we love her but would never have paid what we did for her if we had known that these blues have skin problems the breeders should warn people about this cause we could never use her to breed even if we wanted to and she is cold all winter cause not much hair but we just couldnt take her back cause we fell in love with her but would not buy another blue

I have two chis. Both are deerheads with lean bodies and long legs. The vet called them reindeer chis. I don’t care what you call them, our oldest is 3, fawn colored, not quite 3 lbs. My daughter named her Herassis because her head will always be bigger than her ass is. The other is 1, white and my grandson named her PianaBi because she looks like the cartoon characters Pinkie and the Brain, all pink white and big ears. We recently lost their baby sister to parvo, she was only 8 wks and 14 oz. They are all full sisters, they came from a neighbor I love them like they were my babies.
To say blue chihuahuas are unlikely to be found in a rescue group is nonsense. I have fostered 2 all blue chihuahua girls in the last month, GORGEOUS YES, RARE – NOT HERE. i HAVE 2 ADOPTED ONE FROM RESCUE GROUP AND ONE (A BLUE MERLE NO LESS) FROM HUMANE SOCIETY IN A 2 WEEK PERIOD. i AM IN mISSOURI GRANTED, SADLY A HUGE PUPPYMILL STATE. PLEASE DON’T RECOMMEND PEOPLE BUY CHIS WHEN IT IS THE SECOND MOST KILLED BREED AT SHELTERS….SECOND ONLY TO PITBULLS. THERE ARE LOADS OF PUREBRED CHIS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, PLEASE DON’T BREED AND BUY WHILE RESCUE DOGS DIE!
I have never had a problem with blue chihuahuas. My parents bred and often have blues, we owned several no ever had a problem. my breeding line also carries blue.

Hi I have a blue male also he is almost 7 months old and he started losing his hair at about 2 months a friend told me to try mane and tail shampoo and conditioner wash them with the shampoo and Rinse towel dry and rub the conditioner in like lotion do not rinse and some of his hair has grown back hope this helps
