hercules the short haired chihuahua puppy

dear famous chihuahua,

i am a short-haired chihuahua puppy from charlotte, north carolina and my name is hercules. i may not be huge, but inside this little 2 lb body is one tough guy! i am only 7 1/2 weeks old, but i pretty much know the ways of the world. the picture above is one of my best pictures, it’s me after going to get a coffee with my mommy chelsey.

since mommy adopted me, i have been on road trips while in my car seat and i’m almost potty trained. i only bark on occasion because i try to be polite and i absolutely love to play with kitten toys! sometimes i will sneak big-boy food from my brothers and i will also sneak outside to play, but mommy gets worried since i am so tiny.

i get along with everyone i meet, but its pretty tough when i’m this cute. every time i go somewhere, everyone wants to hold me and baby talk to me. i want to wear chihuahua clothes, but it’s tough to find clothing small enough to fit me!

princess, the smallest teacup chihuahua in the world?

princess, the smallest teacup chihuahua in the world?

dear famous chihuahua,

my name is gizelle morales and i would like to introduce the world to my teacup chihuahua princess. i believe my princess is the smallest dog in the world, weighing in at only 1.8 pounds. she is as big as a dollar bill and smaller than a bottled water.

little princess is a feisty 3 years old. she loves to go shopping and to give out pup kisses and tail wiggles. she does not bark. instead, she ‘quacks’ because her vocal cords are so tiny and even though she may be the smallest chihuahua in the world, she has a big attitude! if she see’s a big dog, she will play with them and shows no fear.

princess the chihuahua

princess is a very affectionate chihuahua. she has a website with her sister jazmine the pomeranian called princess and jazmine. princess really is one of a kind. you just don’t see chihuahua’s this small everyday. her pictures show how tiny and girly she really is.

everywhere we go, whether it be the mall, the park, a cafe or to dog shops, we get stopped by people who want to hold, pet, or ask questions about her. in her world, i think she truly believes she is a famous chihuahua.

tail wiggles and pup kisses,
muwah xoxoxoxo!

jackson the “superhero” chihuahua as spiderman!

nadia featured chihuahuas 1 Comment

jackson

dear famous chihuahua,

allow me to introduce you to my little superhero, jackson the chihuahua. jackson turns 4 on july 17 and weighs a mere 3.5 lbs. his favorite food is little cesar’s dog food and pretty much anything he can get his paws on.

jackson’s favorite toy is his little panda bear beanie baby that he sleeps and drools on every night. if jackson doesn’t get his way, he takes on a diva-like attitude and avoids making eye contact with mommy. he will deliberately turn his head in the other direction if i call his name.

jackson was a naughty chihuahua in dog obedience school in that he refused to be bribed with treats. he instead wanted to play with the other dogs and run his own schedule.

jackson and mommy

all naughtiness aside, little jackson is actually very outgoing and friendly. he can sit, stay and runs to his dog carrier when you say “in your house.” i simply couldn’t imagine not having jackson in my life. he is my best friend and i take him everywhere with me.

sincerely,

lady octavia ho, the ‘morsel fighting’ chihuahua

lady octavia ho the chihuahua

hello famous chihuahua,

allow me to introduce myself. i am lady octavia ho the chihuahua, but you can call me ho. i was born in singapore, so i’m of mexican-chinese descent.

you have already met my brother, mr. brutis chan the short haired chihuahua. i will purposely gulp my food down real fast and then run over to eat chan’s food just to annoy him. chan thinks he is so cool, but it is i who really dominates the household and everyone that lives in it.

i like to patrol the our street so i sit on our lounge room couch and look out our window for pesky neighbors or strangers. as soon as i smell or see someone i am not familiar with, i bark to say, ‘get-of-my-street!’

i enjoy sitting on our sofa and watching tv with mama-chan while she eats. she is a very messy eater so i make sure i sit right next to her so i can get at every little morsel that doesn’t make it into her mouth. i will fight chan to get to that food too. location, location, location is what i aim for.

when i am not a barking chihuahua on street patrol, i can be found curled up on the sofa dreaming of food.

paws out,

mr. brutis chan the short haired chihuahua

hello famous chihuahua,

my name is mr. brutis chan, but you can call me chan. i am a short haired chihuahua born in singapore to a fabulous couple that i call mama-chan and papa-chan. they love me so much, that i am the center of their universe. sometimes, i wish they would get-a-life, especially when i want to sleep.

i am now age three and a half and i have an ‘annoying’ chihuahua sister named lady octavia ho. she does not get any of our games and steals our balls when we are playing with them. she is jealous, as i am very regal and sophisticated and she is not!

i love all food and i am not fussy at all. i have a foot fetish – i just love feet! i can lick and lick feet for hours! i have also been featured in singapore’s magazines and tv as i modeled for ree-yong showcasing their cool dog beds and dog bowls, so technically i am already half famous.

the picture above is me on my favorite bean bag. i  hope you like it.

pawsitively yours,

mr. brutis chan

farfl the adorable black purebred chihuahua puppy

dear famous chihuahua,

my name is marilla and i’m the proud owner of farfl – a six-month-old black purebred chihuahua puppy with a white tuft on her chest and a white dot on her chin. i got her from sweet’n’saucy chihuahuas, a chihuahua breeder in windsor, ontario, canada when she was 12 weeks old and weighed only about a pound and a half. farfl is now just over three pounds and lives with me, my husband and my daughter in toronto. she is sweet, funny, well-trained and fearless when she goes off-leash in the park and is happy to make friends with any dogs, whatever their size!

farfl’s favorite toy is the red stuffed dog you see in the above picture and her favorite food is tuna from the can. she wishes that jess our cat would be her friend, but jess is unimpressed and smacks her around with her claw less paws. farfl thinks this is a fun game.

farfl has her own website at farfl.com where i blog about what it’s like to own a chihuahua dog, farfl’s progress and post videos of her antics. i love her completely – she makes me laugh, is great company and brings a smile to everyone’s face. i feel very lucky that she is in my life and look forward to taking her home to england one day to meet my family. i am an actress, so am also looking forward to being able to take her into the recording studio with me soon. i love that she can go anywhere with me!

thank you for your wonderful website – i visit it often!

hector the ‘mighty’ chihuahua

nadia featured chihuahuas 1 Comment

hector the mighty chihuahua

dear famous chihuahua,

i  am submitting a photo of the most beautiful chihuahua in the world … ahem next to teaka of course. his name is “hector” which means mighty one, very appropriate for this little beast. he is 10 months old and the light of mine and my wife’s lives. you can tell from the picture that hector the chihuahua is a ham and loves to be photographed.

i feel the need to tell you how i “finally” obtained hector. in 2002 we lost our cockapoo dog that we got for my son when he was a baby. we had her for 18 years. i had always loved chihuahuas and actually had a chi-beagle mix as a child. to make a long story short, over the last few years i have been bugging my wife to get another dog, preferably a chihuahua since i had one before. each time i would mention it she would say no more dogs! every christmas or birthday i would get either a t-shirt with a chihuahua on it or a stuffed chihuahua etc… you get the idea, my family was teasing me.

one saturday last june i was sitting at home when my son came by with my 3 grandchildren. the kids burst into the house with a small paper bag folded and closed yelling here grandpa, here grandpa! with my wife by my side on the sofa i slowly opened the bag and to my surprise was a beautiful fawn 17 week old male chihuahua that i already knew i was going to name hector years before. i looked at my wife and her face turned beet red. as soon as she held him, she was in love. it was like day and night, what a turn around.

i must mention something that is just a little off topic, chihuahua’s and grapes. i made a horrible mistake by giving hector grapes as a snack, not very often thank god. during his training at pet smart i purchased a “kennel club” book called chihuahua: a comprehensive guide to owning and caring for your dog by barbara andrews. in the everyday care chapter of the book it states, “add to your chihuahua’s health and longevity by including fresh or raw food in his diet. even if raised on standard kibble, he can quickly learn to appreciate apples, grapes or bananas”.

i bought all of the above, including grapes, it was not until recently i discovered grapes are toxic to certain animals and can cause kidney damage or renal failure. i  did not do my homework. i took it for granted that this book was accurate and boy was i wrong. by the way, little hector is fine and has had no ill effects from the grapes.

i must say this is a wonderful site with a ton of information and beautiful photo’s. i have just begun to scratch the surface here. thanks so much for having this chihuahua website.
