the dog whisperer tackles chihuahuas from hell

how many times have you seen or experienced one of the following scenarios? you go for a walk and see a chihuahua walking with it’s owner barking up a storm while another dog is walking by or you visit a friend or relatives home only to be greeted by barking chihuahuas?

although chihuahuas are one of the world’s most adorable pets, its no secret that they can also come across as being mean little dogs, hence the saying, the biggest trouble can come in the smallest of packages. in fact, if you were to survey people asking for reasons why they would not want a chihuahua, the number one answer would be that they are yappy or high-strung.

what most people don’t understand is that this ‘yappiness’ is only a protective measure by which chihuahuas resort to in order to put their best effort forward to guard their owners and property of the unknown.

if you think about it, given that they are so small, what else do they have other than their bark to make themselves seen and heard? it’s their nature to feel like they have to protect at all times so it is important that chihuahua owners teach their chihuahuas to not bark. if they don’t, the end result is a yappy and sometimes vicious chihuahua.

famous chihuahua invites it’s readers to tune into the national geographic channel this friday for a special episode of the dog whisperer, where cesar millan, a renowned dog behavior expert, heads to portland, washington to tackle one of his toughest cases yet, a vicious chihuahua named el diablo. at the luv-a-bull rescue organization, el diablo acts like a dictator, ruling the 50-acre facility and scaring the much larger pit bulls that live there.

so if you are a chihuahua owner whose chihuahua exhibits similar disruptive behavior, then you don’t want to miss this episode on chihuahuas from hell friday, january 30 at 8 pm et/pt.

the message here is simple. it’s not that we don’t love our chihuahuas, but why not train them to be loved by everyone!
