I have two chihuahuas I was told both were teacup . Clyde my male is now 8 pounds but is still small. Bonnie my female is 3 pounds and is very tiny. They are only 3 months apart and I bought them to breed. Bonnie just had her first heat and is entirely way to small to get pregnant. I have a 1 pound 9 week old boy for sale, i did NOT breed him. i paid $900 for him he was very thin and covered in flees. i got his shots, got him fattened up (yes only one pound) and got his flees takin care of. he is very spoiled and a little lover. Tea cup may not be a “type” of chihuahua but that does not make them a mutt. a mutt is a mixed breed and i happen to have a mutt and i love him to death. so to the idiot talking shit, yes people charge up the ass for these dogs but dont take it out on the animal. I am asking $700 for mine thats $200 less than i paid and another $80 less for the things that i bought him.

Just because a dog is 2-3lb, doesn’t mean it will live and less healthy and long life as a 6lb dog. it’s just like saying that appleheads have more health problems and deerheads are more healthy. ridiculous!
reputable breeders prefer females 5-6lb (and up) so that labor is easier on them. a good breeder would NEVEr breed a female under 4.5lb, it just isn’t safe!
So when the mom is 6lb and dad is 4lb, you will get all different sizes in the litter, including the runt or “teacup”. so just because a breeder has some tiny pups for sale, doesn’t mean that they “breed for them”

There is no such thing as a teacup people. Breeders just call their pups that to get more money out of Buyers. Alot of breeders will lie and say their pups will be 2 to 3 lbs full grown just to make a sale. Plus those tiny chihuahuas also have more health problems and dont live as long as a larger breed. I know FOR WE BRED CHIHUAHUS AND I WOULD NEVER TELL ANYONE MY PUPS ARE TEACUPS I WOULD TELL THEM THE PUP IS TINY AND I WOULD NEVER SELL ONE PUP MORE THEN ANOTHER ONE JUST BECAUSE OF SIZE. NOW AS FOR COLOR YES FOR A BLUE CHIHUAHUA IS VERY RARE. AND CHOCOLATE IS THE SECOND RAREST
